Based in the resort of Alassio, on Italy’s stunning Riviera of Flowers, this relaxing tour includes excursions to Nice and Monte Carlo, the medieval village of Dolceacqua, and the French Riviera border town of Menton.

Situated in a sunny position overlooking the beach, and just a few steps from ‘The Drain’, Alassio’s famous shopping street. The Mediterranee is one of the resort’s most established hotels, opened in 1929 and has played host to many famous names including Ernest Hemingway who was the first to sign his name on the famous Muretto. All rooms have private facilities, with front facing rooms overlooking the beach (supplements may apply). Note that it is traditional in Italy to make a charge for the use of the beach and deckchairs.

YOUR 9 DAY GUIDELINE ITINERARY

Sunday 27th May Travel to Dover for an afternoon ferry to Calais. Overnight in France on a bed and breakfast basis.

Monday 28th May Continue through France and across the Italian border to arrive in Alassio in the early evening. A welcome drink will be served prior to a set evening meal.

Tuesday 29th to Saturday 2nd June In Alassio, with included excursions to Nice and Monte Carlo (with guide), Dolceacqua and Menton, and a visit to the Friday market in Ventimiglia.

Sunday 3rd June Depart Alassio after breakfast to commence our homeward journey. Overnight in France with dinner included.

Monday 4th June Depart hotel after breakfast and continue to Calais to catch an afternoon return sailing to Dover, then home.
