The Eden Project - in huge covered biomes, the biggest conservatories in the world, you can visit majestic rainforests, the Mediterranean, South Africa and California. With more than 4000 different types, the story of our involvement with plants, and our dependence upon them, unfolds.
Lost Gardens of Heligan - ‘The Nations Favourite Garden’. These award winning gardens, asleep for more than 70 years, are the scene of the largest garden restoration project in Europe.
Lanhydrock House - This magnificent late Victorian Country house with its 32 metre long gallery, having the original plasterwork ceiling, and extensive servants quarters gives a real insight into life ‘Upstairs Downstairs’. The garden features a stunning collection of magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias, and the wooded parkland is just the place for a well deserved relaxing stroll.
St Ives – Tate Gallery & Barbara Hepworth Museum – boasts an interesting display of international, modern and contemporary art. St Ives is one of the gems of the Cornish coast and should not be missed on anyone’s itinerary to this region. Combine it with Land’s End – literally the last point on our map, for a great day out.
Trebah Gardens – a uniquely beautiful 26 acre ravine garden, where huge Australian tree ferns and palms mingle with shrubs with ever changing colours and scents beneath an over-arching canopy of 100 year old rhododendrons and magnolias.
Tintagel Castle (EH) - Possibly Cornwall’s most historic site built on the dramatic and windswept Atlantic coastline. It is here that the legend of King Arthur was born.
Charlestown - Picturesque harbour village close to St Austell where the shipwreck and heritage centre is located.
Truro & Truro Cathedral - County capital with lovely townhouses and terraces, and a splendid gothic cathedral that took 30 years to build. It is said that Truro offers some of the finest Georgian architecture west of the city of Bath.
Falmouth - Popular tourist town with a lovely harbour, shops and restaurants.
Looe and Polperro - Looe is a traditional Cornish working fishing port with breathtaking views and sandy beaches. Polperro is a five minute drive away, oozing charm and character, again with its own fishing harbour, pubs, restaurants and gift shops.
