Bayeux & The Caen Peace Memorial
Normandy has over 50 miles of historic coastline starting at Sword Beach, going through to Juno Beach, Gold Beach, Omaha Beach all the way through to Utah Beach. The area is literally an open-air museum dedicated to the D-Day landings and the 77 days of conflict in Normandy that followed.

PLACES TO VISIT/THINGS TO DO
British & Canadian landings - We visit Pegasus Bridge, continuing along the beaches of Sword, Juno and Gold, calling at Arromanches, where you can view the remains of the Mulberry Harbour system. We conclude with a visit to the German Gun Battery at Longues Sur Mer.
Bayeux & Caen - We travel to the town of Bayeux, where you will be able to visit the Battle of Normandy Museum and nearby Cemetery. There will be time to visit the unique Bayeux Tapestry. In the afternoon we visit the Caen Peace Memorial.
American landings - We drive to Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery at Coleville Sur Mer, then on to the fortifications at Pointe du Hoc. Next, we reach Utah Beach where you can visit the Museum containing landing crafts and weapons from the conflict. We journey through St Mere Eglise, home to the American Airborne Museum, concluding with a visit to the German Cemetery at Le Cambe, the resting place for 20,000 soldiers.
